Nurturing alumni bonds

The bonds built while in college are among the most valuable and meaningful life-long friendships. We help alumni brothers keep in touch through alumni communications like the newsletter, an actively-maintained roster, and events in Chicago both during alumni weekend and throughout the year.

Direct support for undergraduate leader-scholars

College life is not getting any simpler. We are proud to support undergraduate leaders in the fraternity who demonstrate the best of Sigma Chi as students and leaders. This support takes the form of our signature undergraduate leadership scholarship, awarded to one to two undergraduate brothers annually, as well as informal mentorship opportunities with alumni on ethical leadership, navigating college life, and preparing for post-graduation career opportunities.

An independent custodian of the Chapter’s long-term interests

Just as friendships among Sigma Chis are often extraordinarily long-lasting, we take a long-term perspective on supporting the Chapter. Our short-term initiatives focus on the bedrock ideals of Friendship, Justice, and Learning. And our long-term vision is to secure a place for the Chapter to deliver on those ideals for generations to come.

Because we are a 501(c)3 organized and operated independently of the international fraternity, we are able to stay focused on the local spirit of the Chapter and its alumni, while remaining dedicated to the higher ideals of the general fraternity.
